Eric Woods’ expertise and experience in audio/visual technology in the studio and for live events has made him an in demand audio professional in the Los Angeles area.

Eric has a passion for audio science – especially when audio pertains to music.

From intimate recording studios to live venue spectacles, from installation, wiring and tuning, to the operation of large- and small-scale systems, Eric is drawn to all the complexity and magic that is A/V design.

Taught by some of Los Angeles’ master studio wizards, Eric spent a year at Musicians Institute studying audio engineering and he currently holds an Associate of Arts Degree in Audio Engineering Live Sound.

He has extensive experience with a wide range of audio/visual systems including the following: the Yamaha CL Series and M7 Series, Midas Pro9 and M32, PreSonus StudioLive Series, SSL 4000G and Duality, API 1608, Toft ATB Series, Neve 5035, Euphonix System 5, Avid VENUE Consoles and Dante Signal Distribution Systems as well as most modern DAW programs including: Pro Tools, Logic, Audition, Nuendo, Cubase, SoundForge, REAPER, Ableton, Reason, and Tracks.

Additional skills include Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Office, as well as PresenterPro Plus, and Q-Lab and their use in live event media presentation and playback.

Audio specialists need many skills.  Knowledge of technology and gear is certainly essential, and Eric has broad professional experience with the proper setup and usage of sound equipment as well as the requirements for live video presentation.

But temperament is also a skill. Eric is an avid learner and a flexible adaptor to new ideas, equipment and techniques. With his disciplined work ethic, innate curiosity, clear communication, ability to organize complex situations, and work under pressure and within deadlines, Eric is a calm, collected presence in the eye of potential audio storms.

Eric an ideal partner for a studio recording sessions or in front of a concert stage with his skill in management of a live A/V experience. He is a Zen Audio Master with his eye on the goal and his ear on the music.  He has your back.
